READ

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God (I John 4:7).

The Apostle John gives us one directive and the manner in which to carry it out. We are called to “love one another.” How do we do that? We take the love Jesus gives to us and we shower it on others. In those moments when we find it difficult to love others we are reminded that love is not ours. Love comes from God. It is His love receive and it is His love we share. As He loves us, we love each other.

REFLECT

Which of your relationships could use an extra dose of Jesus’ love?

RESPOND

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your promise to love me. Help me to recognize those times when my relationships need more of your love. I pray this in Your holy and precious name.  Amen.
