READ

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37).

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Jesus was summarizing the first three of the Ten Commandments: Have no other gods; use the Lord’s name with respect; worship each week. In a world that seeks to grab out attention, these three commands are designed to keep our hearts, minds, and souls connected to the One who loves us and saves us.

REFLECT

How do you employ the three commands in your life?

RESPOND

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love in my life. Give me Your Holy Spirit that I may respond to Your love by walking in Your commands. I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.
