READ
I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you (Jeremiah 31:3).
Promises are easily made, but are often kept with great difficulty. We promised to attend the school play, but business kept us at work. A child promised to clean her room, but the online game occupied her time. The Lord has promised to be with us always. He promised to forgive sin. He promised to use all things for good in our lives. His faithfulness assures us that His promises are kept, including the promise to come again and take us to heaven.
REFLECT
What promise of the Lord is most precious to you?
RESPOND
Prayer: Gracious Lord, I admit I am not always faithful in my walk with You. I have often strayed from Your will and Your way. I thank You for the forgiveness You give and for the new life it brings. I pray in Your name and to Your glory. Amen.
