READ

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves (Philippians 2:3).

The culture says, “Look out for Number one,” “Put your needs first,” “Do what’s best for you.” This thinking leaves us empty as we chase the failed philosophy that says more is better. Paul reminds us that a purpose-filled life is found in considering others better than ourselves. We were actually created to serve one another. We were designed to provide mutual care for each other.

REFLECT

How would your life be different if you were to consider others more significant than yourself?

RESPOND

Prayer: Thank You, O Lord, for the depths into which You journeyed on my behalf. Keep me thankful for Your sacrifice and keep me mindful of the joy I receive in serving others. I ask this to Your glory. Amen.
