READ

According to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19).

The faithful are “filled with all the fullness of God.” This doesn’t mean that we are gods. Paul indicates that we, who were created in the image of God and walk by faith in the Son of God who saved us, live out the image of God. Included in God’s image is “love.” This love of God fills us to the point that His love is the motivation of our lives. His love moves us to love Him and worship Him. His love moves us to follow Him and to live for Him.

REFLECT

How does the Lord’s love influence the manner in which you live your daily life?

RESPOND

Prayer: Blessed Lord, thank You for the gift of Your love. By the gift of Your Holy Spirit, enable me to live my life to Your gory. I pray in Your peaceful name.  Amen.
