He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20).

There have been many down through history who have attempted to predict the Second Coming of Jesus. Jesus said of His return, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matthew 24:36). It is not necessary for us to know the day or time. What is important is that we know Jesus and by faith in Him be prepared for that Great Day. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:16-17).

How will you continue to strengthen your God-given faith?

RESPOND

Prayer: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I thank and praise You for the message of forgiveness, life, and salvation that comes through Your love for me and for all people. Bless me with such a faith that I would have peace today as I await the eternal joys of heaven. I pray in Your powerful and pleasant name. Amen.
