READ

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:37-39).

Our lives are filled with obstacles. A couple would travel overseas, but finances are the obstacle. The high school baseball player would love a scholarship, but his poor batting average is an obstacle. When it comes to God’s love for us, there are no obstacles. Nothing can separate us from the love of God given to us through His Son, our Savior, Jesus. Sickness is not an obstacle. Hatred of others is not an obstacle. Our sin is not an obstacle. God is greater than any obstacle. He will always be with you and love you.

REFLECT

What do you think is an obstacle in your relationship with the Lord? Remember that there is nothing that will separate you from His love.

RESPOND

Prayer: Bless me, O Holy Spirit, with a faith that rests well in the promise of the Lord to conquer all challenges and obstacles to my relationship with Him. I ask this in the name of Jesus.  Amen.
