The Message

AS WE GATHER to worship the Lord, our summer worship series theme is, “Heaven’s Kitchen.” We join the Children of Israel in their trek through the Wilderness. The grumble about their empty stomachs ad the Lord sends them “manna” from heaven to satisfy their physical needs. Greater yet is Jesus, the Bread come down from heaven, who satisfies the hunger of the soul.

Fish, Forgiveness and Future Family

AS WE GATHER to worship the Lord, our summer worship series theme is, “Heaven’s Kitchen.” After Jesus rose from the grave, He visited with His disciples a number of times over a 40-day period. Our Gospel lesson records how Jesus performed a miracle in their midst, which He had previously performed for them earlier in His ministry. He then restores Peter, who had denied Him, into the mission and of share His Gospel. Sometimes we just need a reminder that the powerful Jesus is with us so we can carry on the mission given to us.

A Wee Little Man with a Big Heart

AS WE GATHER to worship the Lord, our summer worship series theme is, “Heaven’s Kitchen.” We all know the song, Zacchaeus was a wee little man….” Zacchaeus was also a hated man. He was a tax collector, which means he was an agent of the Roman government, a cheat and an outcast from the Temple. But Jesus invited Himself into Zacchaeus’ home. We are not privy to the conversation that took place, most likely over a meal, but we do have the results of that meeting. Zacchaeus was a changed man. Jesus does that. He is the life-changer.

Trusting in God’s Faithfulness

AS WE GATHER: Most of us have had a time when we had to go a little while before we could get to the store, so we had to stretch what we had in the fridge and the cabinet into a meal. However, must of us have always had ample access to food. Elijah and widow were in the midst of a famine, there was no food stored anywhere. God shows his faithfulness to those who trust in Him, as we focus on a simple meal of bread and water in today’s focus on our Sermon Series, “Heaven’s Kitchen”.

Peter’s Picnic

AS WE GATHER to worship the Lord, our summer worship series theme is, “Heaven’s Kitchen.” Have you noticed how many of the Biblical accounts center around food? This summer we will base our worship on these accounts to see the love, mercy and grace of God in our lives. Peter had an unusual dream. He saw a something like a great sheet come down from heaven, filled with all kinds of animals, instructing him to eat. These once unclean animals were now considered a viable meal. What does this mean to us in our faith walk?

Scripture points us to a better place.

God’s Menu

AS WE GATHER When we think of fast food we think of drive-thru’s, burgers, fries, and low-fat caramel macchiato. In Exodus we gain a different perspective on fast food. The Passover started in conjunction with the 10th plague in Egypt, the death of the first born son. The Israelites prepared a meal that they could eat in haste as they awaited the freedom that God was about to give them. As our series, Heaven’s Kitchen continues we focus on God’s amazing story of deliverance surrounding the Passover meal.
