Bring Us Comfort—Bring Us Commitment—Bring Us Concern

As we gather we give thanks to the Lord for the gift of the Church, through which He feeds us with His Word and Sacraments.  We recognize today how the Lord gathers His Church to comfort it with forgiveness, life and salvation, but He also presents His Church with a concern for those who don’t know the peace of joy found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified and risen.

When You Believe In God, but Won’t Forgive

As we gather in these summer weekends our worship series, “The Christian Atheist,” will assist us in a closer walk with the Lord in such a way that our faith will drive our life.  This weekend our theme is:  “When You Believe In God, but Won’t Forgive.”

Pray Like This!

As we gather in worship we hear of a Roman centurion, who approaches Jesus with a request to heal his sick servant.  This foreign soldier’s approach to Jesus is a model for us in our daily prayer lives.

The Message

As we gather in worship we come face to face with the great mystery of God-that God is one and that this one God is three persons. The Holy Trinity is not so much truth to be understood as it is truth to be confessed. We confess the Triune God. We confess the Father from whom all things come, the Son who is the incarnate Lord Jesus Christ, and the Spirit who proceeds from the Father through the Son. We celebrate the faith entrusted to us by our Triune God.

Gatorade, Powerade and Living Water

As we gather on this Pentecost we are reminded that the Holy Spirit, who brought us to faith, continues to come to us through Word and sacrament to strengthen our faith.  As the Holy Spirit have given us faith and continues to strengthen this faith, we are guided by Him to life the faith to the glory of our heavenly Father and to share the Good News of Jesus with a hurting world.
