CURRENT SERMON SERIES
what's behind the door

WHAT’S BEHIND THE DOOR?
As we follow Jesus, we have opportunities to walk away or walk by
faith. We can confess with the Psalmist, “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Ps. 84:10), or we can turn aside to open doors of darkness and evil. We know what’s behind the door of darkness–death. And we know what’s behind the door of faith–true life.

what are you waiting for sermon series

Jesus began his ministry by proclaiming, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel!” (Mark 1:15) Almost 2,000 years later, his call to us remains the same. Pride, fear, insecurity, anxiety, being busy or distracted can keep us from following. But the time is now; God’s Kingdom is drawing close. Jesus invites us to leave behind our baggage and immediately follow him.  What are you waiting for?

Local Mission Opportunities

Twice a month, the first and third Tuesday, groups from FIL help serve meals to men, women and children that come looking for help. We travel as a group from FIL, leaving at 3pm, returning by 6:30pm. You may be called upon to serve the main meal, desserts, and occasionally help in the kitchen. Close-toes shoes, conservative dress and a willingness to selflessly serve are the only requirements!

The Saukville Community Food Pantry was started with several religious and community organizations to fill a need
for food in Ozaukee County.  Assistance is needed on distribution days, stocking and organizing the pantry and delivering donated food collected at FIL and ROL to the pantry.

Refuge House is truly “a place of refuge” where women and children who have no place to  reside as they prepare for the birth of their babies.  The live-in houseparent provides a loving and caring family atmosphere where moms can learn parenting and life-skills, further their education and acquire job skills.  Most importantly, the mothers have the opportunity for regular Bible study, prayer and worship so they can grow in their walk with the Lord. Many opportunities are available at the home and the Blessed Again Resale Store that supports this ministry.

Our work included Gospel outreach to children and adults, malaria net distribution to remote villages, and some light construction work.

Please pray for Harold Paul Richey. Please pray from him to accept Christ and for Physical, Emotional and Spiritual healing. He has Parkinson's disease.

Miriam Speight, June 1, 2020 - 3:27 pm

Pray to God to place in my life a man who believes in God and Prays, and who isn't a practicer of the ' Law of Attraction ' and other practices outside of God's belief system, a man who is respectful, peaceful, loves God, a strong provider, and enjoys nature and its beauty. Pray for God to rescue my friend Anthony, whom I've been praying for to be rescued from practicing ' The Law of Attraction ' and beliefs outside of God's system, he's being attacked by this ungodly practice, confusion and demons. He's hallucinating and hearing voices, that's falsely accusing me of attacking him. Since I've been praying for him, me and the members in my household are now being attacked by the unknown, with nightmares, insomnia and my brother talking to himself. Pray to God To Conquer This Evil.

Holly Schaefer, May 29, 2020 - 2:04 am

my friend had hip surgery Wednesday only to come out of anesthesia and was told they rushed her mom to Milwaukee for quadruple bypass. Can you please say prayers for both of them for healing and comfort because neither can have family with them, so both alone during this time

Miriam, May 23, 2020 - 11:59 pm

Pray for my troubled nephew David to obey Social Distancing and to not participate in close contact with others and parties, for my homeless friend Anthony to urgently receive his compensation from unemployment, for Maxine to be respectful and appreciative towards the welfare of her grandsons she's caring for, for my troubled youth nephew Kyrie to respect his younger brother KeShaun and Grandmother, for God to conquer people fighting against Marle'n and Derrick, for me to urgently be Blessed monetarily to rescue me and my household love ones with quaint safe healthy housing, for God's Refuge around me, my daughter, Derrick, John, Tracy, Zachary, David, my great nephews and Anthony at all times. Thanks For Your Prayers!

Miriam Speight, May 18, 2020 - 2:22 am

I THANK YOU PRAYER INTERCESSORS, for praying for me a complete Stranger, during these times. Please pray to Our Heavenly Father God about Anthony and Maxine behaving more Godly and appreciative, conquering people fighting against Marle'n and Derrick, Tracy and his uninhabited hazardous house, Kyrie and financial Blessing to me to rescue and help my family and
