January 2021: Sermon Series on Job
If 2020 taught us anything, it is to be ready for difficulties and hardship. This has been the case for people for millennia. The book of Job, believed by many to be the first written portion of the Scriptures, details how God works in the face of suffering. Join us live in worshiponline, or stay up to date with our sermon podcast as we walk through Suffering by Grace.

Local Mission Opportunities

Every Tuesday, groups from FIL help serve meals to men, women and children that come looking for help. We travel as a group from FIL, leaving at 3pm, returning by 6:30 pm. You may be called upon to serve the main meal, desserts, and occasionally help in the kitchen. Close-toes shoes, conservative dress and a willingness to selflessly serve are the only requirements!

The Saukville Community Food Pantry was started with several religious and community organizations to fill a need for food in Ozaukee County.  Assistance is needed on distribution days, stocking and organizing the pantry and delivering donated food collected at FIL and ROL to the pantry.
Refuge House is truly “a place of refuge” where women and children who have no place to  reside as they prepare for the birth of their babies.  The live-in houseparent provides a loving and caring family atmosphere where moms can learn parenting and life-skills, further their education and acquire job skills.  Most importantly, the mothers have the opportunity for regular Bible study, prayer and worship so they can grow in their walk with the Lord. Many opportunities are available at the home and the Blessed Again Resale Store that supports this ministry.

Three times per year a team of 8-12 people from First Immanuel walk the edge of Wauwatosa Rd. between Pioneer Rd. and Western Rd. to clean up refuse. Time commitment is for approx. 3.5 hours and you will help keep Cedarburg the beautiful town that it is!

Funds provided by the FIL Endowment helped build this school for special needs children. Thanks for your continued support of the First Immanuel Endowment!

Feed My Starving Children

We partnered with Concordia University Wisconsin, along with many other churches in the area to raise money and pack meals for malnourished children around the world. We packed just under 400,000 meals!

Fighana kidsrst Immanuel hosted a short-term mission to Ghana January 9 – 20, 2017. This was the third time we have visited this wonderful country to work side by side with Pastor Solomono Salam Ayagri, his family, and other church workers to reach more Ghanaians with the saving message of Jesus Christ. Our work included Gospel outreach to children and adults, malaria net distribution to remote villages, and some light construction work.

The focus of the short-term mission trips to Guatemala is Gospel outreach, children’s ministry, other additional work including construction projects. Our group worked alongside members of Jesus es El Camino congregation in La Majada, Guatelmala.  This mission trip takes place annually.
Prayer cannot be overestimated! Prayer moves the hand of God. First Immanuel Lutheran Ministries is a family of faith dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty.
If you have a prayer request you can submit it below on our prayer wall. A group of volunteers will lift up these prayers throughout the week.

Please join me in prayer that the Lord God will bless us to raise enough money to purchase a home and a car. Please pray with us that God will enable us to sell our home with a substantial profit.

I am 15 weeks pregnant and really struggling with food aversion. I can not eat anything that has been cooked or warmed, so I am having a hard time getting enough nutrition. I can only eat raw fruits and vegetables and dairy. I have had bad morning symptoms for almost 3 months now and am struggling.

David P Carroll, December 29, 2020 - 4:42 pm

Please pray for my younger brother Bob who is having a procedure done tomorrow to remove a growth from his bladder. We know it's a form of cancer and pray that it has not spread and for effective treatment and guidance for the doctors and nurses taking care of him.
