Confirmation for Children and Teens

What is Confirmation

  • Confirmation, at First Immanuel Lutheran, is an educational process whereby a baptized Lutheran studies the Lord’s Supper, baptism, and other teachings of the church based on God’s word and expressed in Luther’s Small Catechism.
  • On Confirmation Day, they will publicly confess that the teachings of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, grounded in the Word of God and expressed in Luther’s Small Catechism,  are correct.  They also commit to being active in worship and receiving the Lord’s Supper at First Immanuel.

Night Class Home Study

  • Schedules are getting busy and we recognize that sometimes there are conflicts on Wednesdays.  We are building an online class to fulfill the requirements of the Old and New Testament from home.
    • Students will go to a link on our website, read the Bible lesson, take notes as needed.
    • To assess and make sure students are remembering the lessons, quizzes and tests will be a part of the curriculum.
  • Students must complete both the Old Testament and New Testament courses before entering our Catechism class.
