  • Ozaukee County Fair: Please contact Karl Roeske at kroeske@fils.org for helping out at the Ozaukee County Fair this summer! The Fairgrounds are located at Fireman’s Park in Cedarburg. 
  • Saukville Community Food Pantry: Every couple of weeks, donations of food and other items need to be picked up from First Immanuel and River of Life and delivered to the Saukville Food Pantry at St. Peter’s UCC. YouContact Karl Roeske at kroeske@fils.org if you can help. Volunteers are also needed at the food pantry to sort food, stock shelves, and help guests choose food and other items from the pantry. Contact volunteer coordinator Denise Golownia at 262-375-0503.
  • Family Sharing of Ozaukee County: Call 262-377-0634 and ask for Cindy if you are interested in helping in the Food Pantry area. Ask for Robin if assisting in the Resale Shop is where you wish to spend your time.
  • Food Pantry, Inc. Port Washington: Call 284-1148 if you would like to volunteer your time stocking and organizing the pantry and distributing food during open hours.
  • A Place of Refuge: There are many opportunities for individuals, families, and groups to use their gifts and talents at A Place of Refuge Ministries. Maintenance and upkeep help is needed at Refuge House and the Blessed Again Resale Shop on Hampton Ave. in Milwaukee would like volunteers to sort donated items and stock shelves.   • Milwaukee Rescue Mission: Head down to the Rescue Mission on the first or third Tuesday of each month to help serve a meal to the men, women, and children that come looking for help. Each trip requires a group of four to six individuals. Contact Karl Roeske at kroeske@fils.org to sign up or get more information. Want to get even more involved?   • Lutheran Home & Harwood Place: Life Enrichment volunteers are needed in Lutheran Home’s Memory Care Unit. If you are interested in this exciting volunteer opportunity, contact Michelle Mittelsteadt at 414-258-6171, ext. 258

  • Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County: The Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County is your link for information and for getting involved with wonderful volunteer opportunities! Their staff serves the county as an information and referral source for volunteers and organization needs. They coordinate services for non-profit partner organizations, schools, youth programs, community outreach, information and referral. Please visit www.volunteerozaukee.com or call their office if you have a question. 377-1616.
  • Habitat for Humanity Restore: Habitat for Humanity Restore is located at 508 N. Main St, West Bend. Volunteer some time to help keep the Restore clean and organized. The Restore accepts donations of building materials, furniture and appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures. Call  (262) 334-1801 for more information.
 

In Our Country

  • Disaster Relief: Disaster Response Teams will be formed as the need arises, so we can respond in a quick, efficient manner. Thanks to a generous gift, the First Immanuel Ministries trailer will be upgraded to carry much needed items to an area of need such as an area devastated by natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances.
